As John C. Coonley Elementary School has grown—by almost 300% over the past decade—its marketing and branding needs continue to evolve.
I was originally approached by the principal and Local School Council to update the look and feel of the school’s communications. The result is a design that reflects the vibe of one of Chicago’s top neighborhood schools.
I also work closely with Coonley’s fundraising organization, Friends of Coonley, as designer/creative director (since 2008), social media director (since 2014), and overall event co-chair (2014, 2015) for their annual auction. The event continues to surpass fundraising goals each year, bringing in a net total of $205,000 in 2015 to support arts, technology and other enrichment curriculum.
